Carter's Carpentry
were asked to transform an old patio area with a modern stylish decking
area which looked over a 3 tiered garden. The area had to be prepared
by knocking down a small retaining wall and even the old pond had to
be cleared! After repairing the set of steps from level 2 to 3 with
new slabs, we laid a deck frame approximately 7 meters X 6 meters to
accommodate the new decking. # |

Case Study 1a - Decking & Fencing |

Carter's Carpentry were asked to install a 7 x 3 metre decking area, erect new "feather edged" fencing, posts and full height gate, which had to be rotated to allow gate to be opened away from the new decking area to the rear. The Client asked us to create a safer garden environment for a boisterous 4 year old who had previously had to climb the 14" drop out of the rear entrance onto the paved area in the rear garden. It necessitated effectively a gentle graduation from the back entrance lawn area, avoiding the need for a step. Time taken: 3 DAYS |
